Kenya hosts a considerable number of Rwandan Community, that is well established and structured. The Rwandan Community Abroad Kenya consists of people of Rwanda origin residing in Kenya. 


The High Commission continues to enhance capacity to offer consular services to Rwandans in areas of jurisdiction; Kenya, Somalia and Eritrea. 


The Mission also works closely with the Rwandan Community Abroad in matters concerning the development of their country.

The RCA members in Kenya continue to contribute to the development of their Motherland through a number of development programmes; “home-grown initiatives” by H.E President KAGAME existing within the National Social Protection initiatives, such as: a)Girinka: Programme aimed at transforming poor livelihoods to achieve poverty alleviation b)Mutuelle de Sante: Contributions to the Community based health Insurance scheme c)Umuganda: Community cleanup

Rwanda Professional Network - Kenya

Rwanda Professional Network (RPN-Kenya) is an initiative established by Rwandan Professionals working and living in Kenya. The initiative was officially launched on 3rd May, 2019 by H.E Dr. Richard Masozera, High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to the Republic of Kenya, and is composed of Rwandans in Kenya working with the State Institutions, Regional and International organizations, UN agencies, members from academia, consultants and Rwandan business community formally registered in Kenya. The objective of RPN-K is to capitalize on skills and expertise of its members and contribute to; building social capital, Youth empowerment, promote business opportunities enabling members to invest, connect and network, promote the Rwandan culture for social cohesion, togetherness and Integration, champion and lobby for support of the initiatives towards the development of their country.
