Visa for Holiday (V1) 
This visa is issued to a foreigner who visits Rwanda for holiday, sightseeing, social or recreational or other short-term reasons other than work purposes.  

This visa is issued upon arrival, online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application that is any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, 2 passport size white background, Application form available at www.migration.gov.rw or at the Embassy, Application Letter explain the purpose of visit and the payment receipt.

 
Visa fee is 50 USD for single Entry and 70 USD for multiple Entries. Single entry visa is valid for 30days while Multiple Entry is valid for 90 days.  

Work is not allowed. This visa may be extended in exceptional circumstances 

Visa for Family Visit (V2)
This visa is issued to a foreign who wishes to visit a family member or a close relative who resides in Rwanda.

This visa is issued upon arrival or online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application that is any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, 2 passport size white background, Application form available at www.migration.gov.rw or at the Embassy,

Application Letter explain the purpose of visit and the payment receipt.

Visa fee is 50 USD for single Entry and 70 USD for multiple Entries. Single entry visa is valid for 30days while Multiple Entry is valid for 90 days.  

Work is not allowed. This visa may be extended in exceptional circumstances 

Visa for Diplomat Visiting Rwanda (V3) 
This visa is issued to a foreign diplomat visiting Rwanda for official purposes.

This visa is issued upon arrival or online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application that is any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, Note Verbale, 2 passport size (white background), Application form available at www.migration.gov.rw or at the Embassy.
 
This visa is free of charges valid for 30 days multiple entries. 

Visa for Job Search (V4) 
This visa is issued to a foreign skilled worker who is seeking employment and whose skills are on the occupations on demand list.

This visa is issued upon arrival or online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application that is any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, 2 passport size white background, Application form available at www.migration.gov.rw or at the Embassy, Application Letter explain the purpose of visit and the payment receipt.  

Visa fee is 50 USD Multiple Entries for 90days, work is not allowed 

Visa for Conference (V5)
This visa is issued to a foreigner who intends to enter Rwanda for conference, meeting, workshop or any other related activity.

This visa is issued upon arrival or online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application which are any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, 2 passport size white background, Application form available at www.migration.gov.rw or at the Embassy, Application Letter explains the purpose of visit and the payment receipt.

Visa fee is 50USD single entry valid for 30 days

Visa for Prospective Investor (V6)
This visa is issued to a foreign prospective investor, entrepreneur or trader who visits Rwanda to explore available business opportunities.

This visa is issued upon arrival or online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application that is any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, 2 passport size white background, Application form available at www.mirgation.gov.rw or at the Embassy, Application Letter states the purpose of visit and the payment receipt.

Visa fee is 50 USD for Single Entry and 70 USD for Multiple Entries both single and multiple valid for 90 days.

Visa for Medical Treatment (V7) 
This visa is issued to a foreigner who enters Rwanda for medical treatment or medical consultation confirmed by a recognized medical practitioner. It is also issued to his or her foreign care attendant.

This visa is issued upon arrival or online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application that is any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, 2 passport size white background, Application form available at www.migration.gov.rw or at the Embassy, Application Letter states the purpose of visit and the payment receipt.

Visa fee is 30 USD Single Entry Visa valid for 90 days. It can be renewable 

Group Tourism Visa (V8) 
This visa is issued to a foreigner who is travelling as a member of a group of four (4) to ten (10) tourists to Rwanda. 

This visa is issued upon arrival or online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application that is any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, 2 passport size white background, Application form available at  www.migration.gov.rw or at the Embassy, Application Letter states the purpose of visit and the payment receipt.

Visa fee is 150 USD Single Entries valid for 30 days. Work is not allowed may be extended in exceptional circumstance. 

 East Africa Visa 
This visa is issued to a foreign tourist who intends to visit countries signatories to the agreement on the establishment of the East Africa Tourist Visa and its revenue sharing or any similar agreement.

This visa is issued upon arrival or online or at the Embassy. If you decide to apply from the Embassy the following are required during submission of the application that is any genuine acceptable travel document valid not less than 6 months, 2 passport size white background, Application form available at www.migration.gov.rw or at the Embassy, Application Letter states the purpose of visit and the payment receipt

Visa fee is 100 USD Multiple Entry for 90 days.

V12 Reciprocity:
Long term visitor visa is issued on a reciprocal basis to a foreigner who visits Rwanda for visit, conference or any reason other than work purpose.  

Visa fee is 160 USD Multiple Entries up to 10 years. The holder of this visa is entitled to stay in Rwanda for a period not exceeding six (6) months renewable upon valid reasons.

At the beginning it will be issued to the USA national.

General Conditions to Obtain Rwandan Visa
 Application should have 
⦁  A valid passport with not less than six months.
⦁  Application Letter specifying types of visa required and purpose of visiting.
⦁  A recently taken passport size (2 photos of 4cm*4cm) white background. 
⦁  A filled application form available at the Embassy or at the Official website of the DGIE which is www.migration.gov.rw
⦁  Payment receipts. 
⦁  Physical presence of the applicant. 
⦁  Processing time for all type of visa is three to four working day from the submission date.
